An ancient Chinese therapy called “cupping” is leaving its mark — purple, bruise-like dots — on Olympic athletes in Rio.
Mystery of Purple Dots on Michael Phelps Olympic Swimmer. Its actually very funny because many of my clients who receive this cupping treatment have the same issue with people questioning what it is. There where some funny situations, where someone had the purple marks on his back that resembled a cross, and he was jewish, he did not know that it would leave marks, and he called me up in a panic about it… Which btw is an excellent therapy for pains, and helps a lot. Guess now I am going to have to charge extra for this technique, just kidding, as always included for free in my sessions.
